Hope Aviation Insurance respects your privacy. The information you provide helps make HOPE AVIATION more responsive to you by easing the repetitive burden of completing a pilot form. It also enables us to give you updates about HOPE AVIATION. Where appropriate, we use technology and agreements in an attempt to protect any personally identifiable information (like your name, age and email address). You should not receive any unauthorized email or postal mail from third parties as a result of giving information to HOPE AVIATION.

The Details...
Below are more details about the information we gather and how we use it. We will update this web page as our policies change or to answer common questions that may arise.

Email Newsletters
HOPE AVIATION may, in the future, offer email newsletters on one of the pages of our site. To sign up to receive one of our newsletters, we ask only for your email address. We will use your email address only to send you the newsletter that you sign up for. We do not give out our newsletter subscriber lists to others. If you want to update your email address or stop receiving our newsletter, just contact us or follow the procedures at the bottom of each email we send you.

Cookies
The process that we use to provide information and to track use of our site involves a "cookie" (a file placed upon your computer). This cookie helps recognize you when you come back to our site. In order to implement new services, we may use other types of cookies as well. For example, for some services, we may use cookies to keep track of your actions with respect to such services.

Sites You Visit
As you access other sites through HOPE AVIATION’s site, HOPE AVIATION may store information about web sites visited and other information presented in your browser’s URL address line. HOPE AVIATION will use this information to help us figure out what our users are most interested in and, in certain cases, the terms and conditions under which other web sites may be accessed from HOPE AVIATION’s web site.

Security
HOPE AVIATION will use diligent efforts to protect the security and integrity of the information you provide to us once it is received on our systems. Unfortunately, when you submit information to HOPE AVIATION over the Internet, the information may travel over many systems that are not under the control of HOPE AVIATION. The Internet is not 100% secure and others may intercept the information that you are sending.

We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology for mutual authentication, data encryption and data integrity- all to help ensure secure transactions for our clients. SSL is the industry standard security protocol to encode sensitive information, such as your pilot credentials/information. SSL creates a shared digital key, which only lets the sender and the receiver of the transmission scramble or unscramble information. To everyone else, even the servers relaying the message, the SSL transmission is indecipherable. SSL encryption can only be broken by intercepting the encrypted message, recording it, and using a computer to try every possible combination until the key is cracked. Most keys range from 40 to 1,024 digits long...as you can imagine, the number of possible combinations can be into the billions and beyond! SSL deals with data encryption during transmission, not storage.

I've heard a lot about Secure Sites. What does that mean?
Before completing any transaction on a website, you should make sure it is a Secure Site. Being on a Secure Site means you are connected under the cloak of SSL security. You can tell if you are on a Secure Site if you see a padlock or key somewhere along the bottom of your browser's window. If the lock is closed or if the key is unbroken, you are dealing with a Secure Site.

Still have Question?
If you have any other questions about the HOPE AVIATION privacy policy, please contact us at email@hopeaviation.com.
