Underwriting experience has taught us how to negotiate for you.
Unlike many other forms of insurance, most aviation insurance is negotiated. Your rate isn't something that's read off a chart; it's what your broker arranges for you in talks with the underwriters. That means our underwriting background provides us with special insights that give us – and you – an advantage in our discussions with insurance companies. We understand the insurance company's point of view, including how much latitude they really do have on any given issue. We know their strengths and weaknesses. We know when to push – and when to back off. You'll get maximum coverage for minimum premium.
What's more, because we know what underwriting is all about, we make sure we give them what they want, need and expect on the first submission. We make it easy for them to want to write your business – and that makes the process go more quickly and easily for you. We take care of things on the ground to help get you up in the air.
As pilots, we have the same concerns you do.
When you own an aircraft, you see the world a little differently. It's not the altitude, it's the attitude. You have special concerns, special needs, special problems. And you shouldn't have to educate your insurance agent about aviation - at your expense.
At Hope, every single broker is a pilot and flying enthusiast. Some have even had the good fortune to own one or more airplanes. We currently own and operate a Cessna 340.
As pilots, we know what it's like to need excellent coverage, and we understand the contingencies and probabilities you face. We've all been where you are. We speak your language.
As brokers, we've built relationships with all the major underwriters.
All we do is aviation insurance; we spend hours every week talking with the major aviation insurance underwriters. We're not only abreast of the latest developments in aviation insurance, but we've also built relationships with the people behind them. They trust us, which benefits our clients.
What's more, because we're one of the largest aviation insurance brokers in the Southeast, we receive exceptional service and preferred rates. That means you will, too. The volume of business we write leverages more buying power on your behalf.
We use the latest technology to serve you better.
Flying isn't an intellectual concept to the brokers at Hope Aviation Insurance. It's a passion, and a passion worth pursuing. All brokers are licensed pilots with a love and respect for the art and science of flight.
You can see this same attitude in the way we approach our business. All our operations and business systems work to benefit our clients and to make your dealings with us enjoyable and efficient. We were quick to embrace automation, which has long been an integral part of our daily operations. Technology – and the right attitude – enable us to get back to our customers in record time.
And we're continuing to invest in technology so that we can provide the benefits of computerization without losing sight of the personal service we have become famous for. We're a high performance company helping to protect your assets with high performance service.
When it comes to claims, you'll really see the Hope difference.
We hope you'll never have to file a claim. But if you do, that's when you'll be glad you chose Hope. Our claims service is different:
- We're Responsive. We are there for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
For one thing, we know that many claims don't happen during normal business hours. That's why we have a person on-call, wearing a pager, seven days a week, 24-hours a day. We endeavor to get back to all of our clients in ten minutes, calling you back as soon as you call in to report your claim. We call you again within 24 hours to be sure the insurance company has contacted you and to answer any questions you may have.
- With our In-House Claims Coordinator, you have an advocate on your side.
We have an In-House Claims Coordinator who monitors all active claims files to assure we keep in touch with you and the underwriter's claims office. We attend to the status of your claim, making sure there are no glitches and pushing for a swift resolution. We work to be sure you get your money as quickly as possible - and that the settlement is fair and equitable.
- You're in the flying business – we do all we can to get you back in the air quickly.
After the claim is resolved, we send you a follow-up survey to find out what you think about how the claims process went and how the company treated you. If there's been a problem, we want to make sure it doesn't happen again. As for future renewals, underwriters of course take notice of any claims and want solid information so they can make sound evaluations going forward. We find that our in-depth involvement in your claim gives us valuable insight that can be used to favorably represent you in a way that minimizes any impact on your insurability.
