Stuart Hope

Stuart earned a BS degree in Insurance from the University of South Carolina and holds both the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Certified Aviation Insurance Professional (CAIP) designations. He is a licensed Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and serves on the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Tax Committee / Insurance Sub-Committee where he is a frequent speaker and author on insurance and risk management topics. His career as an aviation insurance broker began in 1979.

A fan of exercise, he has run 7 marathons, most recently completing the 2007 Kiawah Island Marathon. In 2008, he finished (or it finished him) the Beautiful Back Roads Century (105 mile) bike ride. Stuart also enjoys storming through the daily WOD at the local CrossFit gym, hiking, karaoke, and the beatings he takes in the sim trying to stay current in the company Cessna 340.

He is married to Heidi Darr-Hope, a professional artist, who created the Arts in Healing Program for Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital's Center for Cancer Treatment and Research..
