Marion (Bubba) Hope

Marion is a cum laude honors graduate of the University of South Carolina with BS degrees in both accounting and insurance. He is a licensed Airline Transport Pilot, a Commercial rotorwing and seaplane pilot, and a Certified Flight Instructor for single and multi-engine aircraft, including instruments. He also pilots the company’s aircraft.

He received advanced aviation insurance training as a Broker at Lloyd's of London and holds the prestigious CAIP (Certified Aviation Insurance Professional) designation. Since joining the firm in 1973, Marion has been an active participant in the aviation insurance industry. He is the Chairman of the Helicopter Association International (HAI) Insurance Committee and is on the Board of Directors for the South Carolina Aviation Association (SCAA). He is a nationally known Aviation Insurance speaker and author of numerous articles and papers.

Marion has been a referee for both high school and college football and high school basketball, and is a member of the South Carolina Football and Basketball Official's Hall of Fame. He still officiates High School football games. He is married to Judy Seawright Hope, who is an accomplished social worker. Together they have one son, Graham Seawright Hope. He enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, traveling and reading.
